HGA Supports Clients Strategic Growth Initiative to Expand Natural Gas Transportation Capacity
Project Description
Customer Challenge
Enbridge had previously experienced challenges managing engineering and survey services provided by separate contractors, resulting in communication issues and inefficiencies. For this project, Enbridge wanted to explore a new approach—combining all engineering and survey services under one provider to streamline coordination and improve overall execution.
Our Solution
HGA proactively pursued the opportunity through our business development team, submitting proposals for both engineering and survey services. Competing with five other engineering firms, HGA was selected based on our integrated service approach and strong commitment to partnership. Our Engineering and Integrated Services business units collaborated to deliver a comprehensive solution, with a single project manager overseeing both the pipeline and facilities scopes. This structure enhanced communication, reduced management overlap, and simplified the client’s project execution process.
Value Delivered
Although the project is currently just past the 30% stage gate, Enbridge has expressed strong satisfaction with HGA’s integrated approach, and the efficiency gained through having a single point of contact for both engineering and survey. Early feedback highlights improved coordination, reduced overall costs, and smoother process flow. HGA’s efforts have positioned Enbridge to move forward confidently with the next project phases, setting a new benchmark for efficiency and collaboration across their engineering and survey programs.
