Hunt, Guillot, and Associates (HGA) today announced the appointment of Louis Olinde, P.E., as the company’s Engineering Operations Manager in Baton Rouge.
Olinde brings more than 20 years of electrical and instrumentation engineering experience to HGA. He has spent nearly his entire career along the industrial corridor between Baton Rouge and Lake Charles, serving clients across the refining, petrochemical, midstream, fertilizer and ammonia, renewable fuels, and power generation sectors.
At HGA, Olinde will focus on engineering execution and delivery quality within the Baton Rouge office, including resource planning, discipline coordination, project performance, and technical standards. He will also remain actively involved in client relationships and business development.
“Louis has built his entire career on this corridor, and that matters,” said Sam Costanza, Senior Vice President of Industrial Services at HGA. “He understands what plant owners here expect from an engineering partner; he’s run departments and offices at scale; and he’s delivered everything from small brownfield tie-ins to billion-dollar expansions. He’s the right person to help us keep raising the bar on execution in Baton Rouge.”
Throughout his career, Olinde has led engineering organizations at nearly every level. He has managed multi-office engineering operations across Louisiana, with responsibility for planning, quality standards, procedures, and office performance. He has also led a 26-person instrumentation and control systems department, overseeing man hours, budgets, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Olinde has also served as an E&I manager for a major refiner’s capital program, coordinating discipline leads and reporting directly to the client’s project management team. Earlier in his career, he established and operated his own engineering consultancy, giving him practical experience with utilization, margins, and client service.
His project experience ranges from small brownfield tie-ins to multi billion-dollar industrial expansions.
Olinde will be located in HGA’s Baton Rouge, Louisiana, office. His appointment reflects HGA’s continued investment in the Baton Rouge engineering team and strengthens the company’s ability to serve industrial clients throughout the Gulf Coast.
