As part of its strategic growth plan, HGA has appointed Barry West as Vice President and Business Unit Leader of the newly established Power business unit. This move follows HGA’s recent acquisition of Reliable Power Consultants (RPC), an engineering firm that specializes in comprehensive power distribution solutions.
“Our focus on the power distribution space aligns with our corporate strategy, making it crucial to have a trusted and collaborative leader to drive accelerated growth,” said Sam Costanza, Senior Vice President. “I have had the pleasure of working alongside Barry for nearly 17 years. His deep understanding of HGA’s systems and delivery approach, coupled with his unwavering commitment to our clients’ success, makes him an essential asset to our team. Barry’s expertise, combined with his hands-on experience having previously established two offices at HGA, has played a pivotal role in the successful transition of the RPC team to HGA. I am genuinely excited to see Barry thrive in his new role.”
Barry West joined HGA’s Ruston office in 1999. Over his nearly 26-year career, he has gained diverse experience in engineering, project management, quality assurance/quality control, and operations. He played a key role in opening the Baton Rouge office in 2010 to expand HGA’s Disaster Recovery business in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Most recently, West served as HGA’s Operations Manager in Houston and has been instrumental in the company’s growth in that area. In his new role, he will continue as the Houston Operations Manager while also leading the Power business unit.
“Having established HGA’s Baton Rouge and Houston offices, Barry is the ideal candidate to lead our continued expansion across the regions we serve,” said Trotter Hunt, Principal. “He understands all services provided by HGA, embodies the company’s core values and possesses a clear vision of how HGA can help modernize distribution networks.”
