HGA announces Chuck Allen as Midland Operations Manager

We are very pleased to announce the addition of Chuck Allen to HGA’s Pipeline Services team as our Midland Operations Manager. With over 35 years of experience, primarily focused on midstream and transmission system development for various operating companies, Chuck brings a tremendous amount of knowledge to our Pipeline Services group.

“The addition of Chuck to our Midland Operation is a big achievement and we are looking forward to the value he will add to our organization,” said Don Plummer, Executive Vice President. “His extensive expertise, broad operational skills, and valuable business relationships will enhance the services we offer in the region,” Plummer continued.

Chuck spent over 22 years working for El Paso in various roles with his last role being responsible for all of their well tie-ins in the Permian Basin. Through these roles, he had the opportunity to interact with nearly every E&P and transmission company in the Permian Basin, as well as most of the other midstream companies. He then took on the same role for 9 years with Enterprise before joining Coronado Midstream as their Construction Manager. EnLink Midstream acquired Coronado, and Chuck continued on with EnLink for a total of nearly six years at their Construction Manager. In those six years between Coronado and EnLink, Chuck was responsible for the installation of over 425 miles of pipelines and 17 compressor stations. While at Coronado and EnLink, HGA supported his group in various capacities and had a very good working relationship with him.

Commenting on Chuck Allen’s appoint, Wynn Rogers, Ruston Operations Manager said: “HGA is extremely excited to welcome Chuck Allen to our team as the new Midland Operations Manager. His knowledge of the industry, this region, and the relationships that he has developed over his career will help us continue to grow the HGA brand in the Permian Basin.”

Chuck is originally from Wellton, Arizona, a farming town outside of Yuma, Arizona. He spent 14 years of his early career in Farmington, New Mexico. After traveling around to various locations from West Texas to Shreveport with El Paso Natural Gas, he ended up in Midland where he has resided for the past 17 years.

Reflecting on his appointment, Chuck said: “I am pleased and excited for the opportunity to become part of the HGA family. HGA has been a great resource for me to draw on in my past experiences with Coronado and EnLink. With that history in mind, I am pleased to continue my career with HGA and I look forward to continuing a great relationship in my new role here.”
