Tyson Hackenberg
Vice President of Program Management
Tyson is the Vice President of Program Management in our Baton Rouge, Louisiana office. Tyson is responsible for developing new business and supporting operations for both Disaster Recovery and our Owner’s Representative business. Tyson brings a broad range of experience to his new position at HGA, including growing and managing multi-million dollar portfolios of program management and disaster recovery business of multiple projects across the states and territories.
Tyson has over 30 years of experience in consulting for government entities (federal, state, and local) in program management, construction management, energy efficiency, and environmental, with an emphasis on disaster response and recovery work. Throughout his career, Tyson has worked for various firms: Carter & Burgess (acquired by Jacobs), Shaw (acquired by CB&I and became APTIM), and Excel.
In the last 10 years, Tyson has worked for clients in Wisconsin, Colorado, Illinois, California, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, North Carolina, USVI, Puerto Rico, and the Northern Mariana Islands. Tyson has technical expertise in housing recovery programs (FEMA and HUD), FEMA Public Assistance, public capital project administration, and environmental reviews.
Tyson earned a bachelor’s degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
