Scott Sullivan

Engineering Manager

Scott is HGA’s Engineering Manager in Ruston, Louisiana.  With more than 34 years of experience working in the industry, he has developed skills that allow him to bring value to both internal and external customers.  Working in a variety of roles ranging from plant engineering, corporate engineering, production, maintenance, and Project Manager on multi-million-dollar projects Scott has a deep understanding of how to bring added value to a project.  He believes and has shown that solid up-front engineering along with experience brings value to the project and client.

Since joining HGA in 2019, Scott has served as the Program Manager at our Lanxess Alliance project, helping establish that alliance and develop a large portion of that team.

In his over 30 years of experience, Scott has worked in a broad range of industries, including pulp and paper and oil and gas. Through his assignments, he has developed a deep sense of how to engage stakeholders, determine key drivers to success and develop the team approach to ensure they are successful. Scott has managed large projects, including serving as the Startup/Commissioning Manager for a $570MM papermill expansion.  He also worked in the engineering consulting industry as a project engineer and project manager on multi-million-dollar projects in the oil refining business.  His experience there includes serving as the Project Manager on throughput and environmental EP and EPCM projects ranging from $25MM to $800MM for a global oil production and refining company.

Scott is very involved in the community through his church serving as a deacon and Community Group/Sunday School teacher for over 25 years.  He also serves on a committee with the Louisiana Baptist Convention.

Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Scott is the proud husband to Robin for 32 years and they have three daughters, two sons-in-law, and two grandchildren.  He enjoys camping, college football, target shooting, and spending time with family and friends.  Scott and Robin live in Ruston, LA.
