Jason is the Director of Business Development for HGA’s Engineering and Staffing business units and has served in the role since early 2017. Jason has over 24 years of experience with clients in the manufacturing and industrial sectors, worked on sales excellence, and played a very active role in a start-up company. Jason is very passionate and has helped grow the business and diversify our client base while maintaining close relationships with our key clients to help them succeed.
Since joining HGA in 2011, Jason has worked extensively with clients in the Wood Products, Biomass Energy, Chemical, Power, Manufacturing and Carbon industries. In addition, he has developed and put into effect value-maximizing strategies for the Engineering and Staffing Business Units in HGA’s Louisiana and Texas offices.
Before joining HGA, Jason managed several wood products and biomass converting facilities in North Louisiana, including Willamette Industries, Emerson Plywood, Weyerhaeuser OSB, Flakeboard LPB (Louisiana Particleboard), and SureGreen Mulch. Jason also helped start-up a company that worked in the housing industry and later distributed home and commercial insulations.
Jason received his Business Degree from Louisiana Tech, where he was a member of the track team in the pole vault event and spent his summers competing in the South-Central Region skiing tournaments.
Jason is active in the Northeast Louisiana community, he has volunteered and coached several youth sports teams in football, basketball, and baseball. He also served on the YMCA Youth League Board that was started in Ruston, co-founded the CFC athletic board, holds a position on the Advisory Board to the EWTA (Engineered Wood Tech Assoc.), and still competes in water ski events throughout the summer.
Jason resides in Ruston, Louisiana and has two adult children: Huff, 22 and Jessi, 18. Jason spends most of his free time away from work duck hunting at his farm, water skiing with his ski club in West Monroe, fishing, and traveling.
