David Hodgeson, P.E.
Operations Manager, Baton Rouge
David is the Operations Manager at HGA’s Baton Rouge office. He is a licensed professional engineer with over 28 years of experience working in petrochemical facilities in the south Louisiana industrial corridor. He has played a key role in building the Baton Rouge engineering team and has previously served as Engineering Manager, Electrical/Instrument Department Manager, Project Manager, and Lead E&I Engineer.
Building long term relationships with clients has been a primary goal throughout David’s career. His Project experience has included plant debottlenecking and plant expansion projects in specialty chemical facilities. He has experience with both continuous and batch reactor control systems, chemical loading and storage facilities, and specializes in unit-wide re-instrumentation DCS and SIS system expansions.
David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1992 and is a licensed Control System Engineer in Louisiana.
David resides in Baton Rouge, LA with his wife of 28 years, Rima. They have three grown children, a son at South Eastern University, a daughter at LSU Medical school in New Orleans, and the youngest daughter at LSU. David enjoys golfing and fishing. As “Empty Nesters” they enjoy the time when children come home to visit, and the flexibility to travel and spend time with friends and family.
