Hunt, Guillot & Associates, LLC was founded in Ruston, Louisiana, by a couple of locals with a passion for both engineering and the wood/lumber industry. At that time, Ruston was only known for its famous peaches and purple-eyed peas. Since opening its doors in 1997, Trott Hunt, Jay Guillot, and Don Plummer have grown HGA into a multi-discipline engineering, disaster recovery and project management firm with a staff of over 450 employees. With engineering and project management mindset that started in areas that were susceptible to extreme weather events, we expanded our business and have helped thousands of clients recover from catastrophic events.
HGA is organized into business units based on the services provided: Engineering, Pipeline Services, Disaster Recovery, Program Management, Construction Services, and Staffing. We supply services to private and public clients. Our private sector clients are in the oil & gas, refining, chemicals, pulp/paper, wood products, biomass, manufacturing, and power industries. Our public sector clients include state, county, parish governments in addition to large and small urban and rural units of governments, including emergency management divisions and public works departments.
Over the years, HGA has grown from a single trailer to having thirteen locations throughout Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Alabama, and New York. Providing services in over 30 states, Canada, China, and Mexico, we now provide services to multi-billion dollars private and public sector clients. We have achieved our success by never forgetting where we started and treating each client large or small with the same level of professionalism and respect. We are acknowledged as an innovative leader in the project management, engineering, and disaster recovery communities. HGA has been recognized in the past years by Zweig White, ENR, and Inc. 500|5000 – just to name a few, for its construction management, detailed engineering, and program management services while our disaster recovery program has been recognized by federal agencies for the products we have built to help communities recover and become more resilient while maximizing federal funds.
